Detroit Slim has been expressing
a spontaneity and unbridled passion for music for over forty years.
Originally from Detroit, Michigan - Slim began his music career energizing
crowds playing guitar with a soul-felt Motown funk band touring western
Michigan with gigs in bars, country clubs, medium security prisons.
In the
1980's Slim headed east, entertaining crowds in Boston MA and in New York
City - then settling into his unique blues-jazz style with rough-cut
inspired vocals. Moving south in the early 1990's - Slim landed in Baltimore / Washington DC metro area - where he is currently performing with The GrapeFruit Kings.
